Patients' home photos are hard to compare because the distance, angle and light change between sessions. Give patients one way to take them and one way to send them, and they become usable.
Why don't patients' home photos match?
Each one is taken a little differently: the phone a bit closer, a bit lower, a different room, a different time of day. Small differences add up, and two sessions stop lining up.
What should I tell patients about taking photos?
Give them one short instruction they can follow at home:
Take your photos in the same spot, at the same time of day, facing a window. Hold the phone at eye level with a relaxed face. Hair back, no filters.
That covers light, angle and expression. Distance is the one nobody gets the same twice by eye, which is what the B&A camera guide measures.
How do patients share photos with the clinic?
They scan your QR code or tap the NFC stand on your counter, sign in with their B&A account, and link to your clinic. Then they choose which collections you can see. Nothing is shared until they pick.
What do clinic staff see?
Full, uncropped originals of all five positions, each session dated. You can compare one position over time, or two sessions side by side. Photos are view only in the portal, and every view is logged with who looked and when.
Staff see the patients at their own location. Group admins see every location.
Can we remind patients when to take their photos?
Yes. Put each patient on a track with their treatment date, and B&A emails them a reminder on each day in the track. You can set up your own tracks for the way your clinic works.
What does B&A Pro cost?
A$1 to start, which sets up your account. A$149 once, 7 days later, when your clinic code goes live and your NFC stand is ordered. Cancel before then and it isn't charged. A$4.99 a month for each patient who links to your clinic, and their B&A is provided by you while they're linked. Patients you only recommend B&A to aren't linked and cost you nothing. Billed in AUD, plus local tax.
