How to use B&A

Five short videos, each with the steps written out underneath.

1. Take your first before

How to take your first set of five before photos in B&A and save them to a new collection. 49 seconds.

  1. Tap Take photos, then tap Continue to allow camera access.
  2. Turn your sound on so the spoken prompts can guide each pose.
  3. Line up your face in the oval. When it turns green, tap Let's start.
  4. Hold each of the five poses while it counts down and captures automatically.
  5. Review your photos and retake any shot with the bin, then tap Save as new collection.
  6. Name the collection and this capture, choose Before, then tap Save collection.

2. Take your after and compare

How to take an after that matches your before, add it to the same collection and compare the two side by side. 49 seconds.

  1. Choose This is part of a treatment series.
  2. Pick the collection this after belongs to, then tap Select Collection.
  3. Line up your face to match your before, shown in the top right corner.
  4. Hold the same five poses as your before while it captures automatically.
  5. Tap Add to existing collection, choose After, name the capture, then tap Save to Collection.
  6. Open See & Share to find your before and after together.
  7. Drag the slider to compare them side by side.

3. Five tips for before and afters that line up

Five things to do so your before and after photos line up and are taken the same way each time. 31 seconds.

  1. Turn your sound on so voice prompts walk you through every pose.
  2. Hold the phone at eye level and straight on.
  3. Follow the prompts. Move back or centre your face until the oval turns green.
  4. Take your after in the same spot and the same light as your before.
  5. If a pose is taking a while, tap the button to take the shot yourself.

4. Export a comparison

How to turn a before and after set into one image that shows every expression, then save or share it. 27 seconds.

  1. Open See & Share and tap Create comparison.
  2. Pick your collection. Your before and after sets are selected, so tap the pink button.
  3. Choose All expressions, then tap Next.
  4. Preview the comparison and swipe to see the turns.
  5. Keep Export in high quality on, then tap Full export.
  6. Save it to Photos, or send it to Instagram or WhatsApp.

5. Make a slider video

How to pick one before and one after in the same pose and turn them into a slider video you can save or share. 40 seconds.

  1. Open See & Share and tap Create comparison.
  2. Pick your collection. Your before and after sets are selected, so tap the pink button.
  3. Choose Just two photos.
  4. Pick a before and an after in the same pose. Neutral works best.
  5. Choose Slider video, pick 4:5 for your feed or 9:16 for Reels, then tap Make video.
  6. Watch the slider video, then tap Save or Share.
